Central African Republic : expertise in the field of Post-traumatic Disorders
This week in the Central African Republic, Brother Elie Lowakondjo, clinical psychologist in the local project of the Congregation Brothers of Charity, the CEPSSM ("le centre d'écoute psychosociale et soins de santé mentale"), was designated by the National Government in collaboration with WHO Centrafrique, to actively participate as an expert in the editing of the National Protocol for Psychotherapeutic Counselling for Posttraumatic Disorders.
This nomination can once again be seen as a clear recognition of the expertise that the Brothers of Charity have been building up since 2016 in the field of Mental Healthcare, based on a clear community-based approach, in the Central African Republic, which is still one of the poorest countries in the world.
