Celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in Rwanda

A legal representative of HVP Gatagara was invited for a High-Level Panel Discussion on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This is a paragraph of the letter he received: 

 

"In the framework of the celebration of International Day for Persons with Disabilities, the Ministry of Local Government through the National Council of Persons with Disabilities in partnership with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has organised a one-day High-Level Panel Discussion Meeting on the first of December 2016 at Kigali Serena Hotel at 9.00 A.M."

"The main objective of this High-Level Panel Discussion is to present key major achievements in domesticating the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) since the adoption in 2006; identify key challenges encountered and identify key areas of improvement towards its full domestication. This High-Level Panel Discussion will be the occasion to commemorate the efforts made by Rwanda in respecting the rights of Persons with Disabilities."
