Psychiatric Centre Saint Dymphna, Gingoog
 
This small-scaled initiative, locally originated on behalf of volunteers, was taken over by the Brothers of Charity in 2013 and thoroughly adapted to fit the requirements of care services. The centre was reopened at the end of 2014. ‘Breaking the chains of stigma’ and removing the iron bars were top priorities for Fracarita International. 
The centre provides innovative and strengthened mental health programmes and services in the Province of Misamis Oriental, in cooperation with local government units and stakeholders.

 

Saint Dyphna provides mental health care to people with mental disorders like schizophrenia, psychosis, bi-polarism, epilepsy, depression and other disorders in the chronic stage. It has a residential, outpatient, daypatient and community mental health programmes.
