St. Conrad's High School

Together with the nursery school and the primary school of the same name, the St. Conrad's High School forms the Saint Conrad's College. The school was founded in 1965 by the Brothers of Charity to provide a response to the great need for education of the underprivileged people from the surrounding area. In 1976, the Brothers decided to transform Saint Conrad’s into a multiracial school, a decision resulting in fierce opposition under the apartheid system. Currently, the school is piloting the opportunity to offer inclusive education l by admitting disabled children into mainstream education.
