Pax Skills Development Centre

This training centre for unemployed or low-skilled adolescents is located in a rural area about three hundred km from the metropolis of Johannesburg. The centre facilitates a nine month vocational training course. Upon completetion of the course the underprivileged adolescents are equipped with new opportunities to engage in the job market which in turn assists them to become financially independent. Currently, the centre facilitates a course on agriculture and cattle breeding , also a primary course in information science. The PSDC teaches the adolescents to improve their general competencies in “life skills”. Future, plans for the centre will focus upon increasing the number of students. A wider range of training will also be incorporated.
