Ahadi

Ahadi is the international institute for distance learning in the African Great Lakes region, an area that has deeply been affected by violent conflicts during the last couple of decades. This institute aims to improve the quality of secondary education in the region and to give adolescents who do not have access to higher education the opportunity to study through distance learning. Consequently, Ahadi contributes to the peace building process in the region as well as the economic and social development. Currently, Ahadi offers 4 higher levels of education in French and/or English. This particular type of education is made possible thanks to the cooperation with other African institutes for higher education. Ahadi remains responsive to the problems of the refugees and is still looking for ways to provide specific formation and training programmes to the youth in order to give them new perspectives in their lives.
